Information you share

When you contact us, we collect the name, email address, practice details and message you provide. When you book a call, we collect your name, email, selected time, time zone and any business details or notes you choose to share. Please provide only information about your website project.

How we use it

We use these details to answer your inquiry, arrange and manage your call, understand your website needs, prepare a proposal and provide services you request. Submitting a form or booking a call does not subscribe you to marketing emails. We do not sell your personal information.

Services that help run this site

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. Supabase supports inquiry processing and booking records. Resend supports transactional email delivery. Google Calendar and Google Meet support scheduling and calls, and Google reCAPTCHA helps prevent spam. These providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other countries under their own privacy terms. Hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and request logs.

We share information with service providers as needed to deliver these functions, and may disclose it when required by law. Links to portfolio sites, Instagram and other external websites are covered by those sites' privacy policies.

Cookies and spam prevention

This standalone site does not use advertising pixels or marketing analytics. Google reCAPTCHA is loaded when you submit an inquiry or booking and may use cookies or device information for security. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

HIPAA and patient information

Valentina Akpan holds HIPAA Awareness for Business Associates and HIPAA Security training certificates from HIPAATraining.com, issued September 2026 and valid through September 2028. Training describes her knowledge; it is not certification that this website or every service is HIPAA compliant.

The contact form and discovery call booking are for business inquiries, not patient intake or clinical communication. Do not send patient names, treatment details, medical records or other protected health information through these forms or ordinary email.

If a project requires access to protected health information, the scope, appropriate systems, safeguards and any required Business Associate Agreement must be agreed before access begins. A therapist's own patient privacy notice and clinical systems remain separate from this website's privacy policy.

Retention and security

We retain inquiry and booking information for as long as needed to respond, manage the business relationship and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. We use HTTPS and restrict access to information needed for the work. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can choose not to submit the form, omit optional details or use the booking calendar. To request access to or correction of your information, ask about deletion, withdraw consent for future optional uses, or raise a privacy concern, contact Valentina Akpan through the contact form. Some records may need to be retained for legal or contractual reasons.

Policy updates

We will update this page and its effective date when these practices change. If a change requires new consent, we will seek it before using your information for that purpose.
